Terms of use

These terms are the agreement between you and PPL Launch Partners LLC ("ExAI", "we") for using the ExAI app. By using it, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use it. How we handle your data is in the privacy policy.

1. What ExAI is

ExAI is a guidance app for people going through a breakup or a relationship crisis. It is based on the Restart Formula method by Frederick Norman Tate. It gives you:

• a diagnosis of your situation;
• a plan in stages, with readings, exercises and tools;
• and a Coach powered by artificial intelligence.

2. What ExAI is not

• It is not therapy, nor a mental health service, and it doesn't replace a psychologist, a psychiatrist or a doctor.
• It is not medical, psychological or legal advice.
• It is not an emergency service. If you or someone else is in danger, call your country's emergency services now. If you are thinking of hurting yourself, call a crisis line. The app shows you helplines for your country, but those numbers belong to third parties, and we can't guarantee they are available at all times.
• It doesn't promise results. We can't guarantee that you will get back with your ex, or any outcome in your relationship. What happens depends on two people.

3. Minimum age

ExAI is only for people 18 and older, whatever the age of majority in your country. By using it, you confirm that you are.

4. Your safety and the other person's

If your answers show signs of violence, experienced or used, the app stops helping you win the other person back, shows you helplines and may close parts of the plan. It does so to protect both people, and it is not a judgment about you.

You may not use ExAI to:

• harass, monitor, threaten or intimidate anyone;
• contact someone who asked you not to;
• or get around a protective order or the law.

If you do, we may suspend your account.

If your subscription ends, Crisis Mode and the helplines remain available.

5. The Coach and artificial intelligence

• The Coach's answers, signal analyses and exercise feedback are generated by artificial intelligence. They can be inaccurate, incomplete or off the mark, and they are not professional advice. The decisions are yours.
• To answer you, what you write is sent to our artificial intelligence provider (see the privacy policy).
• If an answer seems offensive, dangerous or wrong to you, report it from the answer itself, with "Report". For anything else, our email is developer@ppllaunchpartners.com.
• Each artificial intelligence answer costs one heart. You get a free refill every day, up to a limit, and you can buy more.
• Limits: there are hourly usage limits to prevent abuse. We may pause the artificial intelligence features for maintenance or cost reasons, and if an answer doesn't arrive, it isn't charged.

6. Your account

• Your account is anonymous until you link it with Apple or Google, when you pay or from You › Account. Linking it lets you sign in from another phone.
• An unlinked account only exists on your phone: if you lose it or uninstall the app, we can't recover it.
• If you set a lock code, keep it safe, and also the recovery code we show you only once. We don't store them, so we can't tell you what they are.
• The account is personal. Don't share it.

7. Subscriptions and purchases

The subscription

• There are two plans, monthly and annual. With the subscription you get the full plan, the readings, the Coach and the other paid features.
• The price is shown in the app before you pay, and depends on the country of your store account, with any taxes the store applies.
• Free trial: if the store offers it to you, the first 3 days are free. When it ends, the plan you chose is charged, unless you cancel before.
• Automatic renewal: the subscription renews by itself for the same period until you cancel it.
  • On the App Store, payment is charged to your Apple account when you confirm the purchase or when the trial ends. It renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the period, and the renewal is charged within the 24 hours before.
  • On Google Play, you can cancel at any time, and you keep access until the end of the paid period.
• How to cancel: in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app or your ExAI account does not cancel the subscription.
• Refunds: Apple and Google handle them, under their policies. We can't issue them ourselves.
• Price changes: are announced and applied under each store's rules.
• Restore: if you change phones, use "Restore purchase" to get your subscription back.

Hearts

• Hearts packs are one-time purchases.
• Purchased hearts don't expire, but can only be used while the subscription is active.
• They belong to your account, can't be transferred and are lost if you delete your account.
• If the store refunds a pack, the hearts you have left from it are deducted.

8. Our content and yours

• ExAI's content (the method, texts, images, cards and design) belongs to us or to those who license it to us. We give you permission to use it in the app, for yourself, while you have access. Don't copy, distribute or sell it.
• What you write is yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide the service, as the privacy policy says.

9. What is not allowed

• Using the app for anything illegal or to harm anyone.
• Trying to get around payments, limits or security, or taking apart or copying the app.
• Using programs to extract content or to make automated requests.
• Using the Coach for things unrelated to your process, abusively, or to obtain harmful content.

10. Suspension and termination

You can stop using ExAI and delete your account whenever you want, from You › Account › Delete my account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we shut down the service, we will let you know in advance.

11. Warranties

ExAI is provided "as is". We work to make it run well, but we don't guarantee that it is error-free, that it is always available, or that the content or the artificial intelligence answers fit your case.

12. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, for the decisions you make based on what the app tells you, or for what another person does.

13. Governing law

Nothing in these terms takes away the consumer rights the law of your country gives you.

14. Changes to these terms

If we change them, we will change the date above. If the change is important, we will tell you in the app before it applies. Continuing to use the app afterwards means you accept the new terms.

15. Apple and Google

• This agreement is between you and us, not with Apple or Google. They are not responsible for the app, its content, its maintenance or its support.
• Purchases are also governed by the terms of the store where you make them.
• If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them.
